The Basics

Gone are the days when yoga was limited to a mat on the floor. Flying about and hanging upside down on a silky cloth is an artistic activity with various health advantages. Aerial yoga is a creative method to reduce spinal compression, relieve back pain, and de-stress.

With the use of a suspended yoga trapeze, you can take your yoga practice to new heights while becoming stronger and more flexible. The YogaBody Trapeze Pro Yoga Swing is used to effectively practice aerial yoga at home with a professional piece of equipment at a low cost.

The yoga trapeze produces natural, body-weight traction that is both safe and effective and has been safety-tested to 600lbs. For dynamic, deep core strength, nothing matches inverted gravity resistance training. And the best part? It is as simple as sitting back, grasping your ankles, and relaxing.

You can hang the YogaBody Trapeze Pro Yoga Swing from your doorframe, an exposed beam, a bar, or a swing set. The setup is easy and quick, and the effects are instant. This Yoga Trapeze is made from the same material as a parachute— with quad-stitched seams and pure steel hooks.

Might The YogaBody Trapeze Pro Yoga Swing be your match made in heaven?

Everything you need to know about the YogaBody Trapeze Pro Yoga Swing

I guess you have already seen the YogaBody Trapeze Pro Yoga Swing? So you probably know this trapeze swing looks extremely cool! But let’s take a deeper look at the main features…

Features

Professional design

The yoga swing is professionally built, a specialized yoga trapeze swing is ideal for aerial yoga lovers to use at home or in the studio. It is designed with just two carabiners (instead of 4), no rope thimble, and no clanking metal sound when you go up and down. It also has quickdraw straps.  The YogaBody Trapeze Pro Yoga Swing is lighter than a regular trapeze. If you’re a teacher who carries your own equipment from home to the class, you’ll welcome the 20% decrease in weight.

Indoor and Outdoor Use

Love nature? Then take your YogaBody Trapeze Pro Yoga Swing outside!

You can use this hammock both indoors and outdoors.

Rubber Handles

The YogaBody Trapeze Pro Yoga Swing has rubber handles for a firm, anti-slip grip. It can easily be disinfected and wiped clean for commercial use. Because the three sets of handles are at varying heights, you can discover the best handle position for you when performing inversions and other feats.

The health advantages of utilizing a yoga swing, such as this YogaBody Trapeze Pro Yoga Swing, are numerous. As mentioned before, you can use the swing for inversion treatment, spinal decompression, and pain relief.

Unfortunately, this yoga trapeze does not include Yoga Trapeze Ceiling Hooks or an Indoor Outdoor Suspension Trainer. But, fear not, dear yogis, you can easily buy these separately for around $13 per piece. You can also purchase other accessories separately, like the YOGA SWING PRO Pack of 2 Ceiling Hooks Heavy Duty. The heavy-duty hooks are priced just below $35 for a set of two.

Mounting Options

Are you trying to figure out how you will mount your first Yoga Trapeze? Don’t feel overwhelmed. It’s way easier than it looks!

Outdoor installations are probably the quickest and easiest; all you need to do is keep an eye out for a good spot to hang. Do you have a thick tree limb outside? Or a swing set in a park?

Alternatively, you may set up your YogaBody Trapeze Pro Yoga Swing on a beam in your home for a more permanent, weather-proof alternative. If you’re considering the more permanent option, ensure your safety, and please consider this option as a guideline only.  Every house is unique; always speak with a competent contractor before using.

I found Youtube to be quite helpful. There is plenty of installation video’s that could guide you step by step, for example:

Exposed Beam Setup

If you have an exposed beam anywhere in your house, you’ll be up and dangling upside down in no time.

Step 1: Wrap your straps or ropes over the pole or beam from which you will hang the trapeze. Each rope’s two ends will hang down on either side.

Step 2: Pull the cloth on the main sling’s carabiner clips back.

Step 3: Clip the looping end of the rope as well as the knotted end of the rope.

Step 4: Repeat with the carabiner clips on the handle sets. Attach one pair of handles on each side.

Ceiling Hooks Setup

You may use ceiling hooks to provide a secure, permanent place to hang your trapeze. Hooks are available at most home furnishing stores, usually in the porch furniture area, but the official YogaBody hooks intended for the YogaBody Trapeze Pro Yoga Swing are the ideal option.

Why? Because they are rock-solid and can mount into wood or concrete.

For a Concrete Beam, You Will Need:

A power drill, a wrench, two ceiling hooks (available at the YOGABODY Store), and expanding concrete bolts that come with it are required.

Step 1: Separate your ceiling hooks by 70 cm and press them on the wood.

Step 2: Using a pencil, draw a circle around where your screws will go.

Step 3: Using a power drill, drill pilot holes for the bolts.

Step 4: Tighten and extend the bolts after inserting them into the pilot holes.

Step 5: Using a wrench, tighten and secure the plate to the ceiling, two bolts per plate.

Step 6: Use the ropes to hang your setup in the same manner as described previously.

SIDE NOTE:

Mounting into concrete is the most difficult since it necessitates using a high-quality electric drill to make the pilot holes and extremely firm concrete. The pilot hole is just a starting hole when using wood screws. When using concrete bolts, the entire bolt must fit tightly inside the pilot hole.

For a Wood Beam, You Will Need:

A power drill, a wrench, and two ceiling hooks (available at the YOGABODY Store). The screws feature a bolt head, allowing you to tighten them into your wooden mount.

Step 1: Place the ceiling hooks 70cm apart and press them into the wood.

Step 2: With a pencil, color in the circle where your screws will go in.

Step 3: Make pilot holes for the wood screws with the power drill.

Step 4: Using a wrench, tighten and secure the plate to the ceiling, two bolts per plate.

Step 5: Use the ropes to hang your setup in the same manner as described previously.

Things That We Like About the Product

Let’s take a look at what excites me about the YogaBody Trapeze Pro Yoga Swing.

Quality

The Trapeze Swing is a very high-quality, long-lasting, and professional yoga swing. Interesting rumor; some internet reviews even claim that you can use it securely with two huge people hanging from it.

Ease of Installation

It’s straightforward to install right out of the box. It fits onto an aerial sports frame or rigging, ceiling hammock hooks, or a door frame. You can install it yourself without any assistance. You may need a ladder depending on the height of your ceilings, though.

Comfort

This Yogabody Yoga Trapeze Swing is easy to use and perfect for all your tricks and inversions. The foam-padded grips allow you to do inversions with greater comfort and ease, which is especially beneficial for new yogis novices.

Value for Money

You will get bang for your buck; this is an excellent price for an aerial hammock with a 10-year warranty!

What We Dislike About the Product

Every product has drawbacks, right? However, the YogaBody Trapeze Pro Yoga Swing seems almost perfect. But, in the interest of fairness, I should mention that the material does not stretch. While this YogaBody Trapeze Pro Yoga Swing is highly supportive, it is not as pleasant as a swing that stretches considerably. If you need the fabric to stretch for added comfort, use the Vertical Wise 10m silks.
